Sailboat Pointe Landen Lake Condos For Sale
Sailboat Pointe is part of the Landen Lake collection of communities, and offers landominiums. What's a landominium? You own the land, but otherwise your home is treated like a condo with your HOA fee providing for amenities and maintenance. When the siding needs replaced, or the roof needs replaced, your HOA fees have already funded the repairs. If you drive through Sailboat Pointe right now, you can see they're replacing the siding on many of the Sailboat Pointe condos! And also with your HOA fee, you have access to tennis courts and a pool, along with walking/bike trails! HOA fees vary according to whether you're on Landen Lake (boat slips available), on one of the coves, or not on the water.
And before you get excited at the mention of boat slips and a lake, this isn't a water skiing type lake, but meant more for quiet enjoyment! At 65 acres and a mile long, electric trolling motors are the most powerful propulsion allowed on Landen Lake. Boats have to be 20 feet or less in length, and sailboats, paddleboats, kayaks, canoes and pontoon boats that meet the requirement are acceptable. Fishing is catch and release only, and Landen Lake is reserved STRICTLY for members of the Landen Lake CSA . Non-residents only when accompanied by a resident.
Okay, enough about Landen Lake, now back to the Sailboat Pointe condos! They come in single, double or triple configurations, so if you're interested in one of the last two categories, you'll have neighbors just the other side of the wall. Also, don't let the front of the homes fool you into thinking they're very small, especially the ones bordering Landen Lake. Since the land slopes down, the bulk of the homes are actually situated to enjoy the lake view, and walkout basements are common. Expect sales prices from the mid $100's to the low $300's depending on size, amenities and of course a lakeside condo will sell for a premium.
Sailboat Pointe can be accessed from either Montgomery Road side, or it's a short drive to the Western Row/I-71 interchange.
